BOOKING TERMS

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms explain how bookings with Reptilian Encounters work. Please read them together with your written quote and booking confirmation.

1. ABOUT YOUR BOOKING

A booking is confirmed only when Reptilian Encounters accepts it in writing and any payment requested to secure the date has been received. Your quote or confirmation will set out the experience, date, approximate timings, venue, price, travel charge (if any), payment dates and any booking-specific arrangements.

Please check the confirmation carefully and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect. The person making the booking must be at least 18 and is responsible for sharing these terms and our safety instructions with the venue and participants.

2. PRICES AND PAYMENT

The price is the amount shown in your written quote or booking confirmation. Any additional cost must be agreed before it is charged. Payment methods and deadlines will be stated in the confirmation. If a required payment is not received by the stated date, we may release the booking after contacting you.

3. CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change, cancel or reschedule. Any cancellation charge, rescheduling term or treatment of a booking payment will be the term stated in your quote or booking confirmation.

If we cannot safely provide the booked experience because of animal welfare, illness, staffing, severe weather, transport disruption or another circumstance outside reasonable control, we may adjust the animal line-up, offer a suitable replacement date or cancel the affected booking. If we cancel and cannot offer an acceptable alternative, we will refund amounts paid for the affected booking.

4. INFORMATION AND VENUE REQUIREMENTS

You must provide accurate information about the venue, postcode, group size, participant ages, accessibility needs and anything else that may affect safe delivery. Tell us in advance about relevant allergies, phobias or health considerations.

The client must provide a safe, clean and suitable area, follow any access or parking requirements agreed in advance, keep food away from animal-handling areas and keep other animals securely separated unless we agree otherwise. A responsible adult must supervise children at all times.

5. ANIMAL WELFARE AND PARTICIPATION

Animal welfare comes first. Our handlers decide which animals attend, when an animal can be handled and when it needs a rest. A particular species or individual animal cannot be guaranteed unless we have confirmed this in writing, and substitutions may be necessary.

All handling is supervised. Participants must follow handler instructions, behave calmly and treat the animals respectfully. We may pause or end an interaction if continuing would be unsafe, unsuitable or harmful to an animal or participant.

6. HYGIENE AND SAFETY

Everyone must follow the safety briefing and wash or sanitise their hands after animal contact. Eating, drinking and touching the face should be avoided during handling. Participants should seek appropriate medical advice if they are unsure whether taking part is suitable for them.

Reptiles and other animals can carry microorganisms and may scratch or bite if startled or handled incorrectly. Following the handlers’ instructions helps reduce these risks.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY

Personal photographs are welcome when the venue permits them and the handler confirms it is safe. Flash or other equipment may be restricted if it could disturb an animal. Reptilian Encounters will only use identifiable customer images for promotion when suitable permission has been obtained.

8. LIABILITY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, Reptilian Encounters is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information, an unsuitable venue, failure to follow safety instructions, or circumstances that could not reasonably have been avoided. We are not responsible for business losses arising from a consumer booking.

9. PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes and manage bookings. More information is available in the Privacy Notice at /privacy-notice.

10. QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS

If you have a question or complaint, please contact Reptilian Encounters through the website enquiry form. We will try to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.

These terms do not replace any additional written terms agreed for a particular booking.
